The Journal of the American Medical Association conducted a study where they examined 501 men with chronic heart failure. Scientists looked at the levels of estradiol, another form of estrogen. The study looked at the levels and found a correlation between the likelihood of death and levels of estradiol. Those with higher levels of estradiol were 133 percent more likely to die compared to those with lower estradiol levels.
